Career
Tanja obtained her PhD from the University of Copenhagen. During this period, she was also employed by the Center for Biological Sequence Analysis at the Danish Technical University, which led to the construction of a database & prediction tool for Nuclear Export Signals in proteins.

Her IPR career started with Albihns (a Danish private practice firm which later became Zacco), working with pharma-related inventions. After 3 years, she joined the Danish food ingredient company Danisco A/S, which was later bought by DuPont. At Danisco/DuPont, Tanja was responsible for new enzymes and their applications in industrial processes as well as in food, feed and dairy.

She truly understands the challenges of her in-house clients, having been both an external patent attorney and in-house counsel
herself. Tanja is based in our Leiden office.
